Tracy Draksic holds a B.A. in Modern Languages from Wells College and an M.A. in Linguistics from SUNY Buffalo. She began practicing Hatha Yoga at the Himalayan Institute (H.I.) in 1998 and went on to receive her teacher certification in 2010 and her e-200 certification on June 1st, 2014. She currently teaches Indian cooking and Sanskrit at the H.I. Buffalo branch. She also instructs the “Foundations of Yoga” course through the Department of Health Care Studies at Daemen College. 

          
Since receiving her certification, Tracy has completed many hours of advanced teacher training in yoga therapy, Yin Yoga and Vedic philosophy. Using traditional Hatha Yoga as a base, Tracy enjoys exploring other styles of practice to give her students a rich and varied experience. She emphasizes the importance of improving alignment, flexibility and range of motion to unleash the inherent power of yoga asana. Tracy's classes bring a sense of ease to the physical body and peace to the mind and heart.

Initiated into the Himalayan Tradition in 2008, Tracy practices mantra meditation under the guidance of her teachers Rolf Sovik and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.
